Extra pictures from our Melbourne 2013 holiday

Melbourne has an integrated transport system and the City Circle trams are free. With the Myki card you can take the tram, bus or metro all over the city. After a couple of days we knew the tram network inside out.

Matthew and Sarah by their front door near Melbourne University. The university campus is very pleasant with some traditional and some modern buildings. Sarah works at a convenience store nearby.




Melbourne lies on the Yarra River, and the trams run all the way to St. Kilda beach. There are river cruises to Williamstown at the mouth of the river.

We visited many beautiful gardens including the Royal Botanical Gardens, Carlton Gardens, Fitzroy Gardens and Flagstaff Gardens where we saw possums.
